Where to eat near Seville Cathedral
Around the Cathedral you are in the busiest, most expensive eating zone in Seville. You can eat well there, but you have to know which streets to leave and what to ignore.
Two streets out cuts the price, not the quality
Tapas vs a proper Italian change of cuisine
Lunch at 13:00 fits around the Giralda
A 10-minute walk to a kitchen locals book
The Cathedral ring vs. two streets out
Restaurants with a direct view of the Cathedral charge for the view. Two streets out, the same dish costs noticeably less. The food does not improve with the view, and the service often gets worse because tables turn over faster.
Tapas or Italian near the Cathedral?
Tapas is the local default, and rightly so. But if you have already eaten tapas three days running, an Italian kitchen makes a good change — and Seville has a genuine one ten minutes away, with fresh pasta made each morning.
Timing your meal around the Giralda
Climbing the Giralda takes about an hour including the queue. That fits neatly before a 13:00 lunch, when kitchens open and the streets are still quiet.

Is eating next to the Cathedral expensive?
The ring around the Cathedral carries a premium for location. Walking two streets out usually brings the price down.
At San Marco we cook Italian the way it is cooked at home: fresh pasta made daily, dough proved for 48 hours and family recipes we have never changed. We have been next to the Plaza de España since 1994, with two daily services and options for almost any taste or need.
As a guide to prices, la Carbonara romana costs €12.50; la Lasagna della casa costs €13.50; el Tiramisú della nonna costs €5.50; la Burrata pugliese costs €16.50. The menu sits in the mid range (€€) and the full list with every dish and price is always on our menu page. We keep the prices in the menu and in our structured data in sync with the same source, so what you read is what you pay.
You will find us at Calle Dr. Pedro de Castro, 1, 41004 Sevilla, a short walk from the Plaza de España and the historic centre. The bus stop is right at the door and there is a public car park about 50 metres away, so arriving by car or public transport is easy. On foot, the landmark is simple: once you reach the Plaza de España, we are a short stroll along Dr. Pedro de Castro street. We are open every day, lunch 13:00–16:00 and dinner 20:00–23:30. You can call +34 954 41 87 60 or book online.
What time do kitchens open near the Cathedral?
Lunch service generally starts at 13:00 and dinner around 20:00.
Our hours are the same every day: lunch from 13:00 to 16:00 and dinner from 20:00 to 23:30. Having two services means you can pick the moment that suits you best, whether that is an early lunch before continuing your visit or a relaxed dinner. The kitchen runs from those times, which is why we ask you to be punctual for your booked slot.
This is a very convenient area to eat: you are next to the Plaza de España and a step from the centre, so you can combine the visit with your meal without losing time travelling. Instead of falling for the first tourist menu you find, it is worth booking a place with its own kitchen, like this one, where the produce and the cooking show in the dish.

Booking online gives you instant confirmation with a reference that acts as proof of your day, time and party size; if anything changes, that reference lets us find your table in seconds. We open daily from 13:00 to 16:00 and from 20:00 to 23:30, right by the Plaza de España.
Is it worth walking 10 minutes for Italian food?
If you want fresh pasta made on site rather than a reheated dish, yes — the short walk changes what is on the plate.
To give you an idea of where we are: the Plaza de España is a short walk away, and other points in the historic centre such as the Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar or the Santa Cruz quarter are all reachable on comfortable city walks. You do not need a car to move around this area. If you come by car, the public car park is about 50 metres away and the bus stop is right at the door.
