Italian restaurant near Plaza de España
San Marco sits a two-minute walk from Plaza de España, on Calle Dr. Pedro de Castro. If you have just finished the plaza and want real Italian food instead of a tourist-menu shortcut, this is the short version of the walk.
A 2-minute walk from Plaza de España
Fresh pasta made in house every morning
Sourdough pizza with 48-hour fermentation
Open daily 13:00–16:00 and 20:00–23:30
Two minutes away, not two kilometres
Plaza de España draws crowds, and the streets around it fill with restaurants that trade on the view rather than the food. We have cooked here since 1994: fresh pasta rolled every morning and pizza dough left to ferment for 48 hours.
Time it around your visit
A lap of the plaza and a rowing-boat turn takes about ninety minutes. We serve lunch 13:00–16:00 and dinner 20:00–23:30 every day, so a table is almost always close to your visit.

How far exactly is the restaurant from Plaza de España?
About a 2-minute walk (roughly 150 m) along Calle Dr. Pedro de Castro.
To give you an idea of where we are: the Plaza de España is a short walk away, and other points in the historic centre such as the Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar or the Santa Cruz quarter are all reachable on comfortable city walks. You do not need a car to move around this area. If you come by car, the public car park is about 50 metres away and the bus stop is right at the door.
As a guide to prices, la Carbonara romana costs €12.50; la Lasagna della casa costs €13.50; el Tiramisú della nonna costs €5.50; la Burrata pugliese costs €16.50. The menu sits in the mid range (€€) and the full list with every dish and price is always on our menu page. We keep the prices in the menu and in our structured data in sync with the same source, so what you read is what you pay.
Come and see us: Calle Dr. Pedro de Castro, 1, 41004 Sevilla. Lunch 13:00–16:00, dinner 20:00–23:30, every day of the week.
We have been in Seville since 1994, when Aldo Ramacciotti brought his family recipes and opened what is still a family restaurant. Three decades later we keep the same idea: cooking Italian the way it is cooked at home, with real produce and without inventing flavours that do not belong to us. That continuity shows in the dishes we have never taken off the menu and in the guests who have been coming back since the first year.
Do I need to book to eat near Plaza de España?
In high season and at weekends, yes, we recommend it. You can book online in a minute and get instant confirmation with your reference.
We recommend booking, especially in high season: weekends, bank holidays and the Seville spring fill the room. When you book you choose day, time and party size, and you get a confirmation with a reference you can change or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before. If you come without a booking, we will tell you honestly whether there is a table or how long the wait is.
This is a very convenient area to eat: you are next to the Plaza de España and a step from the centre, so you can combine the visit with your meal without losing time travelling. Instead of falling for the first tourist menu you find, it is worth booking a place with its own kitchen, like this one, where the produce and the cooking show in the dish.

Booking online gives you instant confirmation with a reference that acts as proof of your day, time and party size; if anything changes, that reference lets us find your table in seconds. We open daily from 13:00 to 16:00 and from 20:00 to 23:30, right by the Plaza de España.
Do you cater for gluten-free or vegetarian diners?
Yes. We offer gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options — tell us when you book and the kitchen prepares your dish with a safe protocol.
We have gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu, and we also adapt recipes when you let us know. The best thing is to tell us when you book: that way the kitchen prepares your dish with a separate protocol and can suggest alternatives within what you fancy. If you have a specific allergy, mention it and we will go through it dish by dish with you.
