# Restaurants with a terrace near Plaza de España

> Eating on a terrace by Plaza de España is half the Seville experience, but not all terraces are equal: the difference between a good lunch and overheating comes down to shade and timing.

Eating on a terrace by Plaza de España is half the Seville experience, but not all terraces are equal: the difference between a good lunch and overheating comes down to shade and timing.

## Puntos clave
- Check the shade for your hour
- A full menu, not just snacks
- A terrace you can actually reserve
- Best slots: early lunch or late evening

## What to ask before you sit down

First, whether there is shade at the hour you are going (it changes completely between 13:30 and 15:00). Second, whether the terrace faces traffic. Third, whether you can book: in most terraces in the area, you cannot.

## What our terrace is like

Ours is two minutes from the plaza, with shade at midday and good light as the afternoon drops. It serves the full menu — not just snacks — and you can request a terrace table when you book.

## The best time of day

For lunch, the first sitting (13:30). For dinner, from 20:30, when the heat eases. In high season the terrace fills before the dining room, so here the advice to book is serious.

## Preguntas frecuentes

### What is the best time to eat on a terrace without the heat?
The first lunch sitting (13:30) or the evening from 20:30. At 14:00–15:00 in summer, the heat bites.

### Can you book the terrace?
In our case yes, by asking when you reserve. Many terraces in the area do not take bookings.

### Do terraces only serve snacks?
It depends on the place. Ours serves the full menu: pasta, pizza and desserts.
